The Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) is a hub for creative activity in the city. Home to cultural events, a café, bar and cinema, the CCA works across all art forms and has sustained its determination to be a forum for ideas, as well as art and events.
The CCA’s year-round programme includes cutting-edge exhibitions, film, music, literature, spoken word, festivals, Gaelic and much more.
It curates six major exhibitions a year, of national and international contemporary artists. It’s also home to Intermedia Gallery, which showcases emerging artists.
Entrance to the exhibitions and many events is free and it’s a great place to unwind and meet friends in the Saramago Café Bar, with its outdoor terrace in the heart of the city centre.
