Looking to plan a fun evening out? From independents to big brands, Glasgow is home to many cinemas and comedy clubs to entertain audiences.

Cinema city

  • Glasgow Film Festival (GFF) - The annual GFF programmes world and UK premieres, documentaries, talks and more each spring. The dates for next year's events are already out - March 1-12.   • Cineworld - The tallest cinema in the world, Cineworld in the city centre shows the biggest blockbusters across their 18 screens. Visit cineworld.co.uk.

Comedy in the city

  • Glasgow International Comedy Festival (GICF) - Running for 20 years, the GICF brings amazing UK and international talent to perform in venues across the city for 2 weeks each March. Visit glasgowcomedyfestival.com.
