Red Hot Chilli Peppers at Hampden Park (July 23)

US Rockers Red Hot Chilli Peppers perform the last date of their North American and European Tour in Glasgow. Bellahouston Park (June - various dates)

  • Muse (June 23) - Alternative-rock trio Muse bring their Will of the People world tour to Glasgow.
  • Arctic Monkeys (June 25) - The Sheffield-band, whose popularity only grows, are sure to attract a mixed age group to their Glasgow gig.
  • Guns N' Roses (June 27) - On-the-go since the 1980s, rockers Guns N' Roses know how to put on a show.

Sofar Sounds surprise gigs (May 23 & July 11)

For outdoor gigs in surprise locations follow Sofar Sounds. You can expect to see 2 or 3 short sets from incredible performers from a variety of music genres. But you won't know who you are seeing until the evening itself! And the exact location is only revealed 36 hours ahead of the event. Riverside Festival (June 3 - 4)
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the dance electronic festival takes place outside the striking Riverside Museum beside the River Clyde. Acts performing include Acemoma, Farnaz, Celeste, Inez and many more. Get tickets at riversidefestivalglasgow.com.

The Reeling (June 10 - 11)
Brand new music festival The Reeling will take place in Rouken Glen Park, just outside of the city. The line-up has a Celtic and traditional Scottish music vibe, with Peatbog Fairies and Blazin' Fiddles set to play. Check out the full line-up at thereeling.com.

Glasgow Jazz Festival (June 14 - 18)
Some of the biggest names in jazz, blues, soul, funk, R&B and world music will perform across various venues for the 37th Glasgow Jazz Festival. Visit jazzfest.co.uk.

Mela (June 25)
A range of performing artists, including many musicians, take part in Mela at Kelvingrove Park each year. Follow Glasgow Mela on Facebook.

TRNSMT (July 7 - 9)
Pulp, Sam Fender and The 1975 are the headline acts for this 3-day festival that takes over Glasgow Green each July. Tickets can be purchased at trnsmtfest.com.

Summer Nights at The Bandstand (various dates, July/August)
Staged on the Kelvingrove Bandstand, Summer Nights brings a variety of musicians to Kelvingrove Park each year. Anastacia, Kassidy, Del Amitri and Sugababes are just a few of the acts to perform. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.co.uk.

Piping Live (August 12-20)
