A series of music events and festivals are set to take place outdoors in the city this summer. From global stars at stadiums to classic acts in city parks, the stage is set for a summer of music!

Harry Styles at Ibrox Stadium (June 11)

Harry Styles: Love on Tour will arrive in Scotland for one night only as the first UK date of Styles’ resumed tour. The icon is sure to bring the glamour as well as the tunes. Check ticketmaster.co.uk for availability.

Ed Sheeran at Hampden Park (June 16)

Ed Sheeran's upcoming + - = ÷ x Tour will see the global star perform an array of tracks off his new album live for the first time. The show will be performed in the round, with Ed surrounded by the crowd. Purchase tickets at ticketmaster.co.uk.

Liam Gallagher at Hampden Park (June 26)

Liam Gallagher is set to delight fans as he performs songs from his incredible back catalogue as well as from his new, soon-to-be-released album C’MON YOU KNOW. Visit ticketmaster.co.uk for tickets for the show, which includes special guests Kasabian and Goat Girl.

Calvin Harris at Hampden Park (July 2)

Having dominated headline slots over the years at the world's biggest festivals, Calvin Harris will make his long-awaited return to Scotland with a huge show at Hampden Park. Platinum tickets are still available via ticketmaster.co.uk.

Gerry Cinnamon at Hampden Park (July 16 & 17)

The hugely popular Glaswegian singer-songwriter will perform 2 nights at Scotland’s national football stadium. For tickets to either of the Gerry Cinnamon shows visit ticketmaster.co.uk.

Coldplay at Hampden Park (August 23 & 24)

Coldplay will bring their Music of The Spheres World Tour to Scotland this summer, with the show set to be powered by 100% renewable energy. The globe-trotting foursome have added a second night due to popular demand. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.co.uk.

Acts playing Glasgow's newest venue

Scotland’s newest outdoor music and arts venue, Junction 1 opens in June, following the multi-million pound regeneration of a former factory in the east end. The venue is set to open with a bang with a summer festival and series of amazing acts lined up.

  • Tickets are on sale now for Junction 1's Summer Festival (July 30 & 31) with a line-up including Groove Armada, Kelis, Soul II Soul & Faithless and more.
  • London synthpop band Hot Chip (June 3), with support from Pictish Trail.

  • Jamaican Grammy award-winning reggae legends Black Uhuru (August 4).
  • London duo Jungle (August 6) and their band of live multi-instrumentalists.
  • House music royalty Armand Van Helden & Friends (August 13) perform in the city for the first time since 1999.

May Bank Holiday Weekender at Queen's Park Recreation Ground (April 30 - May 1)

Melting Pot and Heverlee are bringing a bank holiday weekend of dancing to the southside with Optimo 25 and Disco Sessions. Expect quite the party as Scotland’s most revered club night, Optimo celebrates its 25th anniversary year. Visit skiddle.com for tickets.

Riverside Music Festival (June 2-4)

Riverside Festival brings DJs from around the world to the grounds of the iconic Riverside Museum and The Tall Ship, on the banks of the River Clyde. Confirmed DJs so far include Charlotte De Witte, Carl Cox and Roisin Murphy. Visit riversidefestivalglasgow.com for the full line up.

Dandelion (June 17-19)

Brand new Dandelion Festival is a 3-day, family-friendly celebration of live music, ideas, workshops, food and growing. Announced so far for the Glasgow festival in Kelvingrove Park include: one of Scotland's leading instrumental groups, Rura, acoustic singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner and folk electronic band Niteworks. cinch presents TRNSMT (July 8-10)

Scotland’s biggest music festival cinch presents TRNSMT takes over Glasgow Green for 3 days. Confirmed artists for 2022 include the likes of Paulo Nutini, Lewis Capaldi and The Strokes. Book your tickets at trnsmtfest.com.

Summer Nights at The Bandstand (July 27 - August 3)

Summer Nights is a series of concerts taking place at the much-loved bandstand in Kelvingrove Park. Artists confirmed for 2022 include Pixies, Suzanne Vega, Jesus & Mary Chain, KT Tunstall, Rick Astley and Rufus Wainwright. Visit glasgowconcerthalls.com for tickets.

Platform 18 at West Street, under the bridge (September 24 & 25)

2022 will mark the final outing of Platform 18, after nearly a decade of open-air raves boasting dance music royalty. The organisers are planning on going all-out on the line-up for this final event. Buy tickets at skiddle.com.

Piping Live (August 6-14)

World Pipe Band Championships (August - dates tbc)

The World Pipe Band Championships is a truly Scottish occasion, featuring bands from all over the world competing to be the best of the best. Join over 200 bands featuring around 8000 pipers and drummers for a great experience in Glasgow Green.

THE HELLA MEGA TOUR at Bellahouston Park (June 29)

Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer are on the road together for THE HELLA MEGA TOUR. The show will be an unmissable part of Scotland’s summer of live music with 3 of the biggest acts in rock music performing. Tickets can be purchased at ticketmaster.co.uk.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers at Bellahouston Park (July 1)
