RSNO: Beethoven Revolution: Symphony No1

RSNO: Beethoven Revolution: Symphony No1

Fantastique by name, fantastic by nature! When Hector Berlioz couldn’t win the girl of his dreams he poured all his unrequited passion into this opium-fuelled extravaganza for a super-sized orchestra. His revolutionary work is the perfect partner to Beethoven’s exuberant youthful First Symphony. Elim Chan brings all her energy and flair – and joins the sensational Simon Trpceski in Shostakovich’s playful Second Piano Concerto.
