Glasgow Cathedral Festival

Glasgow Cathedral Festival

The Glasgow Cathedral Festival returns for its third outing, with a week long celebration of music, art and history, contributing to Glasgow’s reputation as a thriving cultural centre. There will be a special exhibition to mark Charles Rennie Mackintosh's 150th anniversary year, with sketches and photos showing the architect's lifelong connection with the Cathedral.

A series of evening concerts begins with a screening of John Ford’s The Informer (1929) with a live soundtrack score, as well as performances from Dunedin Consort, Broen Ensemble, Genovia Quartet, Berkeley Ensemble and the Glasgow Cathedral Choir. There will also be a cinematic audiovisual installation in the Lower Church, called Song for Armageddon.
