Pedal for Scotland Classic Challenge

Pedal for Scotland Classic Challenge

The annual Glasgow to Edinburgh ride is Scotland’s biggest bike event with three challenges suitable for all cycling abilities, and importantly it raises vital funds for local charities including Pedal for Scotland’s official charity partner, the STV Children’s Appeal.

The STV Children’s Appeal has raised over £16.3 million to date, providing invaluable practical and emotional support to more than 67,000 children and families across the country affected by poverty.

Join thousands of people of all ages from across Scotland and beyond and take part in one of three Pedal for Scotland challenges:

45-mile Classic Challenge. This route starts in Glasgow and ends in Edinburgh, via stunning countryside and is the only time of the year you can cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh on closed roads. The route is relatively flat (with only one major hill!) with people aged from 10 to 80 crossing the finish line every year. There are rest stops around every ten miles or so, giving you plenty chance to refuel.

100-mile Big Belter for more serious roadies.

10-mile Wee Jaunt from Linlithgow to Edinburgh.

Registration for Pedal for Scotland on 9th September is now available, with plenty of opportunities to get involved in volunteering on the day too. Click here to find out more.
