Tramway
A former tram depot, Tramway was turned into an internationally-acclaimed venue for contemporary visual and performing art as part of Glasgow’s year as City of Culture 1990. The Modern Institute
Once described by Art Review as ‘a model for galleries around the world’, The Modern Institute champions cutting edge minds. Centre for Contemporary Arts

Gallery of Modern Art
Glasgow’s Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) hosts exhibitions by acclaimed local and international artists. A former home of a rich tobacco merchant, the building itself is stunning. Transmission Gallery
Founded by Glasgow School of Art graduates, Transmission Gallery is housed in the Trongate 103 facility. More than a gallery, they work with artists to host exhibitions, events and residencies. Street Level Photoworks

Glasgow Print Studio
A neighbour of Street Level Photoworks, Glasgow Print Studio is known for supporting artists' printmaking. Hunterian Art Gallery
The Hunterian Art Gallery is full of showstoppers. It houses the largest permanent display of work by Whistler as well as an impressive collection of Mackintosh pieces. David Dale Gallery
Opened by Glasgow School of Art graduates in 2009, the David Dale Gallery is located in the east end of the city. The gallery prides itself on offering a supportive environment for young emerging artists to develop and display work.
