Piping Live!, Glasgow's International Piping Festival, is the biggest festival of its kind in the world and the week-long celebrations will see over 200 events take place. In 2015, the festival will also return to George Square where musicians will perform daily, bringing traditional Scottish music into the heart of the city.

Highlights this year include the Scott Wood Band, Finlay MacDonald and Chris Stout, Fred Morrison and Borja Baragano and some delicious restauraunt offers to top it all off!


The World Pipe Band Championships, Glasgow Green, August 14 - 15

The unmissable sight - and sound! - of 230 pipe bands in the one place doesn’t happen every day. But it’s one that spectators in Glasgow Green will be enjoying on Saturday 15 August, at the World Pipe Band Championships 2015.

Saturday’s spectacular championship event is accompanied by a great programme of family attractions including the very best of Highland Dancing in a day-long competition, awe–inspiring feats of strength at the World’s Highland Games, and the FREE Kids’ Zone with face painting, glitter tattoos, storytelling and much more!
