Lgbt+ Book Group Discusses Hidden Nature

After taking August off, our LGBT+ Book Group returns with a discussion of Alys Fowler's memoir of canal travel and coming out, Hidden Nature, her Wainwright Prize shortlisted book. Fowler's book is about travelling Birmingham's canal network in an inflatable canoe, and her discovery and coming to terms with her sexuality. The book group focuses on books with a queer theme - fiction or nonfiction, by queer and non-queer authors alike, all under the broad umbrella of the LGBTQIA+ community, and is facilitated by a queer member of staff. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
