Glasgow Kelvin College, the newest of Glasgow's three regional colleges, was formed in 2013 from the merger of three leading Scottish vocational education and training institutions. However, the combined history of Glasgow Kelvin's three legacy colleges stretches all the way back to 1934 when the Trades School of Glasgow opened its doors as the City's first purpose built vocational education and training facility.
Glasgow Kelvin College has been able to bring all the good practice, heritage and pride from its three legacy colleges to create a truly innovative and ambitious community of learning for its students and staff. From the technical disciplines of engineering, science and construction, to the creative industries of jewellery design, fashion, art and music, via humanities, beauty therapy, health and sport, the programme offer at Glasgow Kelvin boasts numerous progression routes, all leading to further study, or to employment.
Glasgow Kelvin operates from five campuses across the north and east of the City. Each campus is its own cosmopolitan community with students from a wide range of academic and cultural backgrounds mixing and socializing; all adding to the vibrancy and diversity of the College. With state of the art facilities, an extensive portfolio of courses, and an equally extensive range of entry and exit points, Glasgow Kelvin is sure to have a learning option that is right for you.
